Mary (Fran) Frances Guest

Mary Frances (FRAN) Guest  February 29, 1960 - October 13, 2023

It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Frances (FRAN) Guest on October 13, 2023 at age 63. Fran was born on February 29, 1960 to Robert and Barbara Guest in Prince George, British Columbia. Fran was predeceased by her sister Kyra, her brother Robert, and her brother-in-law Lyle.

Fran leaves behind her loving wife Debra Derbyshire of 35 years, sons Larry Derbyshire (Shannon MacLellan) and Dennis Derbyshire, grandchildren Grady Derbyshire and Ethan Derbyshire. Fran also leaves behind her loving sisters Susan Stephens, Judith Rustad (Barry) and Lyn LaLonde. Fran is also survived by numerous precious nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including the furry ones. Fran’s family will always be iconic to her and she loved them very much.

Fran went to school at Prince George Secondary and continued on to work in the transportation industry for a number of years working her way up to be the leader she was. Fran started the courier transportation business in her early years and traveled from Vancouver to Edmonton as a flight courier. Fran moved on to be a lead in the industry which brought her back to her hometown of Prince George. Fran worked at the College of New Caledonia for almost 20 years and she loved the hustle and bustle of all the people there. Fran was fearless and some would refer to her as a “Jill” of all trades as she could tackle anything she set her mind to. Fran’s passion was cooking, especially in the outdoors that she loved so much.

There will be no service by Fran’s request.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the BC Cancer Centre for the North.
