Julia Myra Buckley
1938 – 2022
Julia (Judy) Myra Buckley (nee Gould) passed peacefully from natural causes at the age of 83 on May 26, 2022 at UNHBC in Prince George, BC. She was born in September, 1938 in Cold Lake, AB. to Iva and Percy Gould and was raised with her siblings, Fred, Gerry, Joy, Larry, Terry, Valree and Audree. on the family farm in Pierceland, SK.
She married Thomas Buckley (deceased) in June, 1959 in Cold Lake, AB. And subsequently moved to Trenton, ON. Where she worked as a waitress and cook. After the family moved to Whitehorse, YT. where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse training. In 1967, they moved to Goodlow, BC. Then shortly after to Fort Saint John, BC where she worked at the hospital and later as a receptionist at the medical clinic. She returned to college to upgrade her skills in 1991 and moved to Dawson Creek, BC. where she managed a retail store for a period of time. After moving to Prince George, BC. She returned to nursing at the hospital where she worked until her retirement in 2003. Judy touched the lives of many people in her lifetime and was loved and respected by all. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters Daryl and Tracy as well as her sons Thomas and Darren, her siblings Gerry, Joy, Terry, Valree and Audree, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the Elks / Moose Hall 663 Douglas St. Prince George, BC. On Wednesday June 15th 2022 at 4 pm. Soup and sandwiches, desserts and refreshments will be served.
