Adradeane Zettergreen Obituary

Dee was born on March 5th, 1943, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia,

to Allethaire (Thasie) and Robert (Bob) Lattie.

Grand daughter of Ardell and James Ettinger.

Dee was raised in 5 Mile River, Nova Scotia, until the age of 10, she then moved to Niagara Falls with her mom.  In 1961, at the age of 18, Dee met Fred Pigeon at a party in Welland, Ontario. They loved to go to the races together and spend time with family and close friends.  In 1962 Fred bought a motorcycle and they travelled to see Dee's family, Auntie Lily in Boston, the Lattie’s, Ettinger’s and MacCullogh’s in Nova Scotia.

Dee loved Elvis Presley but was thrilled to be the stunning bride of Fred. In late 1963, they welcomed their first son, Fred Jr. followed by Kevin (1966) and Mark (1973).

Fred and Dee bought their home in Dain City, Ont., where the boys spent their youngest years growing up on the shores of the Welland Canal. In September 1974, Grandpa Bob offered Fred Sr., an opportunity to move to Prince George, in beautiful British Columbia. Fred Sr. and Dee bought their home in the Hart Highway area, where all the boys were raised and still reside close by.

In 1989, Dee met Albert Zettergreen at a local Legion dance. They fell in love, were married, and started new adventures together. With this marriage, Albert’s two daughters, Janet, and Danielle, joined the family. Together Dee and Albert loved camping with the children in the Mount Robson and Jasper national parks, fishing all over British Columbia, visiting family and friends, hunting and gathering firewood for their children.  Dee was blessed with an abundance of friends, many of which, were there for all the seasons of her life.

Dee was also blessed with eight grandchildren whom she loved every opportunity to be with, even if it meant getting up at 5:00 a.m. to see them off on a plane. Her family, her friends, her community, and her church meant the world to her.

One of Dees greatest gifts was that she loved to care for and support those in need. She was always willing and wanting to help.

On November 18th, 2023, Dee was peacefully called to be with the Lord, with family by her side.

May she rest in peace bathed in the Light the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dee is survived by her loving husband, Albert Zettergreen, three sons, two stepdaughters, eight grandchildren, her close cousin Linda McCullough Hitchens and many friends near and far.
